Lisa Lafferty and Rebecca Harrington re-located to Albuquerque, New Mexico in April 2001 and met later that year. In Spring 2004, they began discussing business opportunities in Albuquerque while focusing on amenities that they enjoyed in a larger city. Lisa recently gave birth to her and her husband's first child. She found the maternity market in Albuquerque to be very limited and of poor quality. As a result, Lisa shopped for stylish, quality maternity apparel out of town. Hence, the research began to create a maternity boutique in Albuquerque. In 2004, Lisa and Rebecca opened That's My Baby! Maternity Apparel & Gifts! Our approach to retailing pampers the expectant mother while offering her merchandise that reflects the current fashion trends. We want the expectant mommy to shop our boutique for 9 months of fashion!
